Mission

 

The Say Y.E.S. CREW program is dedicated to empowering youth ages 11–17 by providing a nurturing environment that fosters personal growth, academic achievement, and community engagement. Grounded in the values of Community, Respect, Excellence, and Wisdom, CREW equips young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed in school, careers, and life.

pROGRAM GOALS

 

• Further Education & Academic Achievement: Support youth in reaching their full academic potential through tutoring, STEM activities, and enrichment opportunities.

• Financial Literacy & Personal Development: Teach essential life skills, including money management, etiquette, goal-setting, and self-confidence building.

• Community Engagement: Encourage participants to become compassionate, community-minded individuals through service projects and leadership opportunities.

Program activities

 

• STEM workshops, tutoring, and educational enrichment programs.

• Financial literacy sessions, etiquette training, and personal development workshops.

• Resume building, interview practice, and workplace skills training to prepare youth for future employment opportunities.

• College preparation resources, including campus tours, assistance with financial aid and scholarships, and guidance on career and academic pathways.

• Social media branding and digital presence training to help youth develop personal and professional online identities.

• Team-building field trips to strengthen communication, collaboration, and leadership skills through experiential learning.

• Community service initiatives to foster civic responsibility and youth leadership.

Membership Requirements

​

• Must reside in Harnett, Johnston, Wake, Wayne, or Wilson counties

• Must demonstrate commitment to academic growth, leadership, and community service.
