Meet The Board

Marchelle Sutton Agbasi is an accomplished educational leader with more than 30 years of experience advancing student achievement, workforce readiness, and community engagement across North Carolina. Her distinguished career spans roles as a teacher, Career Development Coordinator, Assistant Principal, State Education Consultant with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, ACT Account Executive, and currently, Career and Instructional Management Coordinator (CIMC) with Wake County Public Schools.

Throughout her career, Marchelle has been dedicated to helping students discover their potential by strengthening college and career readiness, fostering meaningful community partnerships, and supporting innovative educational initiatives. Her expertise includes leadership development, career and technical education, strategic planning, and workforce development.

Beyond her professional career, Marchelle is a dedicated church deacon and active community leader who is passionate about mentoring, serving others, and creating opportunities that empower individuals and families.

As a Board Director for the Say Y.E.S. Foundation, Inc., Marchelle is honored to support the organization's mission of empowering youth, adults, and families through education, leadership development, health and wellness, and community engagement. She is committed to helping expand opportunities that inspire individuals to achieve lasting personal, educational, and professional success.
