Meet The Board

Dr. Lashaundon Perkins is an educator, community advocate, consultant, and transformational leader with over 20 years of experience in education, leadership, mental health, and community development/advocacy. She is an Educational Consultant. She also is the Founder and CEO of Renovating Lives, Inc. and Reestablishing YOU Consulting Group, where she provides motivational speaking, coaching, training, and organizational development nationwide.

Dr. Perkins holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology from North Carolina Wesleyan College, a Master’s in General Business Administration from Central Michigan University, a Master’s in Education for School Administration from Gardner-Webb University, an advanced graduate degree in Administration and Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Walden University.

Dr. Perkins is also a certified mentor, life coach, ordained minister, substance abuse counselor, and author. She currently serves on the North Carolina State Rehabilitation Council. She is a former Board of Director for the North Carolina Association of Educators. She is an alumnae of the Better NC Fellowship (NC Tax and Budget Center) and the NC Education Policy Fellowship. Dr. Perkins remains passionate about youth empowerment and community advocacy, she collaborates with organizations statewide and nationally to bridge barriers, promote equity, support individuals from diverse backgrounds, and advance opportunities for underserved populations.
