Advisory Board Chair

Jhakiri Brooks is a financial planning professional and wealth literacy advocate dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities build lasting financial stability through education and strategic planning. His passion for financial empowerment was inspired by his upbringing in underserved communities, where he recognized the importance of increasing access to financial knowledge and resources.

Jhakiri earned a bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from SUNY Buffalo State University and has built a successful career in financial services, including leadership roles with Bank of America and Northwestern Mutual. He currently leads his own Financial Planning and Wealth Management practice, where he helps clients develop strategies to build, protect, and preserve wealth. He holds Series 7 and Series 63 securities registrations, along with Life, Accident, and Health insurance licenses.

Throughout his career, Jhakiri has partnered with community organizations to deliver financial literacy programs that equip individuals with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions. His work reflects a deep commitment to expanding economic opportunity and creating pathways to long-term financial success.
