Board Chair
Karen is an engaged community leader and seasoned entrepreneur with a strong commitment to advocacy, service, and economic empowerment. She currently serves as a member of the Capital Area Section of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), where she volunteers across several committees to support civic engagement, education, and community development initiatives. In addition to her work with NCNW, she is the Co-Chair of the Young Adult Committee for the Johnson County NAACP. In this role, she helps lead programming that supports civic participation, youth leadership, and social justice efforts within the local community.
Professionally, Karen has been a real estate broker-owner since 2017, providing strategic guidance to clients and managing the operations of a successful brokerage. Additional she is the co-owner of a builder, development and investment company. Her background also includes nearly a decade as an immigration consultant, where she supported individuals and families navigating complex immigration processes.
Driven by a passion for service and a deep belief in community uplift, Karen brings her diverse experience in leadership, legal support, and business operations to the Say Y.E.S. Foundation, Inc Board.
